Welcome to my website.

I am a quantum physicist, and am currently the quantum computing Discipline Leader at the Defence Science and Technology Group, an adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Western Australia and member of the QUISA group. My background is in quantum computation and quantum information science. After many years supporting the Australian Submarine Fleet, I now use my extensive experience in collaborating with academic and defence industry partners, as well as my in-depth knowledge of quantum computation, to enable the Australian Defence Force to take full advantage of the second quantum revolution.

I am also currently the chair of the WA AIP Branch and Vice-chair of the AIP Quantum Science and Technology (QST) committee.

I spent a large portion of my career working in underwater acoustics, signal processing, smart sensors, microcontrollers, open-source software and the internet-of-things.
Between 2016 and 2022 I was an adjunct senior lecturer and then adjunct associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Australia and member of the System Health Lab.
